Get Healthy With Me: Acai Bowl Recipe

I had my first acai bowl in New York City, and it was one of the most delicious things I’ve ever tasted in my life. I was walking down the street and I saw a sign for acai smoothie bowls. I’ve never had one before, and I knew I wanted to try one. I stopped inside, and I waited in line. The bowl looked like a work of art. The purple color was so pretty, and the fruit looked so tasty on top. I was so excited to dig in and try the yummy smoothie bowl.

When I try to eat healthy, I try to stay away from candy (even though I have a huge sweet tooth!). This smoothie bowl tastes like candy, and I knew I needed to re-create the recipe for when I have my cravings for something sweet.

Ingredients:

Smoothie:
– Frozen acai
– 1 cup of Soy Milk (or any milk you would like)
– ½ Banana

Toppings:
– Granola
– Blueberries
– Strawberries
– Banana
– Coconut Flakes
– Any kind of fruit you would like!

Instructions:
– Blend the smoothie ingredients until it is a smooth texture
– Pour the acai smoothie mixture into a bowl
– Place your toppings

I love putting blueberries, strawberries, banana, coconut flakes, & granola on top of mine. The granola gives it a delicious crunch, and strawberries, blueberries, and bananas are my favorite fruit.
