How To Have The Best Morning Routine

We’ve all been there. We hit the snooze button (okay maybe we hit it twice) and then finally roll out of bed in a terrible mood because it is way too early. We rush through our morning routine and run out the door to get to work or class. We get to work or class feeling groggy and count the minutes until the day is over. Well, here are some tips & tricks to have your best morning ever.

1. Smile first thing in the morning

I know you definitely don’t want to smile when it’s 6 am and all you want to do is keep sleeping, but try to get into the habit of starting your day with positive thoughts. Remind yourself to feel thankful for having another day on this Earth. If you start your day with positive thoughts, it will lead to a productive and positive day.

2. Meditate

Okay now that you have a positive mindset, let’s start the day with some relaxation. I absolutely love to meditate in the morning. When I don’t meditate, my brain is racing with thoughts. What meetings do I have today? Is my boss going to like my newest work? Meditation immediately calms me, and those racing thoughts are gone. 3. Exercise

Take a walk around your neighborhood. Life some weights at the gym. Do some light yoga in your room. If you exercise in the morning, you will start your day feeling energized and feeling like a total #GirlBoss. You worked out while most people were sleeping. You will feel so productive and it will motivate you to continue to be productive while at work or at school.

4. Visualization

I love visualizing in the morning. I ask myself, “what is the woman that I want to be doing?” “What is she wearing?” “How is she going to tackle today?” Then, I take the steps to become the woman that I want to be that day. If I envision my ideal self wearing a certain outfit or getting a certain project done in a certain way. Then I take the steps to complete these actions. It is a great way to grow as a person and take the steps to becoming your ideal self.

I also visualize myself achieving my goals. I want to travel to Europe in the next year. So I envision myself on the plane and traveling. Visualizing myself achieving my goals motivates me to work hard.

5. Eat a healthy breakfast

Starting your day with a delicious green juice filled with vitamins or oatmeal with sliced apples will make you feel good. I always find my mind is clearer and I feel happier when I eat healthy. If I start my morning with a healthy breakfast, then I am more likely to eat healthy for the rest of the day.

I do #3 (exercise in the morning) and it\’s the best. By the time you get to work, your mind is fully awake. Plus, there are usually only up to 10 other people in the entire gym, so no waiting for anything!
