Product Review: No Drought Lush Dry Shampoo

When I discovered dry shampoo, it honestly changed my life. I used to be one of those girls who had to wash their hair every single day. It was time consuming and not good for my hair. I hated the look and feeling of greasy hair, but now I can wash my hair every other day with dry shampoo. As a result of being a dry shampoo lover, I am constantly trying out new dry shampoo products.

Recently I tried No Drought by Lush.The website says “our dry shampoo absorbs excess oils and volumizes locks, making the hair look and smell fresh without having to wash.” I used the dry shampoo on a typical morning getting ready for work.

Pros:
– It did not leave white residue or a white tint to my hair

When I use my Batiste dry shampoo, it leaves white residue in my hair. Even if I rub the dry shampoo into my hair, it sometimes leaves a “white tint” to my hair. When I used lush’s dry shampoo, after I rubbed in the powder it did not leave a white tint.

– When I use the dry shampoo, I am not breathing in any chemicals.

When I spray dry shampoo into my hair, I sometimes breathe in the spray by accident. It is definitely not healthy to breathe in. As a result of this product being a powder, there is no way for me to breathe in the spray. Therefore, I believe it is healthier alternative to regular dry shampoos.

– It did absorb the oil in my hair efficiently

My hair looked much cleaner after I used the dry shampoo. It also smelled very fresh, and it looked like I washed my hair that day. It also did not have a very strong, overbearing smell like some other dry shampoos.

Cons:
– It did not give my hair any much volume

I have experienced much more volume with many other dry shampoos. If you are looking for a dry shampoo that will add a lot of volume to your hair, I would not recommend this dry shampoo.

I will definitely be continuing to use this dry shampoo. I think I am going to use this dry shampoo when my hair isn’t very oily, and I am looking for a healthier alternative to my regular spray dry shampoo. If my hair is very oily and looking very flat, then I plan on using my regular Batiste dry shampoo.
