Is there anything more satisfying than curling up on the couch with a delicious drink in your hand? Nope. There are so many amazing fall drinks out there to try, and here are five of my favorite recipes for you. The majority of them are non-alcoholic, but I have also included one for my rum lovers out there!
Recipe 1:
Pumpkin Pie Smoothie
I found this recipe from here and guys it is so heavenly. If you want to start your day with a sweet treat or end your night with a dessert smoothie, then this recipe is perfect for you.
Ingredients:
½ cup of pumpkin puree
1 large banana
6-8 ice cubes
6 oz vanilla yogurt
½ tsp pumpkin pie spice
1 tsp honey
3 tsps of your desired milk of choice (I prefer almond milk!)
Directions:
Combine all of the ingredients into your blender and blend until it is smooth.
There you have it! A simple, scrumptious pumpkin smoothie is ready for you to enjoy. This recipe will definitely get you in the Thanksgiving spirit.
Recipe 2:
Spiked Apple Cider
This is my very own recipe inspired by my wonderful boyfriend. We wanted to enjoy an alcoholic beverage while we carved our pumpkins. So, we discovered this recipe and it is now one of our favorites.
Ingredients:
1 cup of apple cider
1.5 fl. oz. of rum (We chose Capitan Morgan and it paired with the apple cider perfectly)
Directions:
Heat the apple cider until it is your desired temperature. (We enjoyed this beverage warm, but it is also equally delicious when it’s cold.) Pour the shot of rum into your apple cider and stir.
This recipe was a hit for our family and friends as well. You are going to love it.
Recipe 3:
Cranberry Apple Cider
I was looking for a recipe for Thanksgiving dinner and I stumbled upon this one. I instantly feel in love with all of the flavors and I am looking forward to “wow”-ing my family and friends with easy, slow cooker recipe.
Ingredients:
1 liter apple juice
2 cups of orange juice
1 liter of cranberry juice
½ cup of your desired sweetener
3 cinnamon sticks
1/8 teaspoon of ground gloves
Combine all of the ingredients in a slow cooker and allow for it to cook for 3-4 hours.
Recipe 4:
Peppermint Hot Chocolate
Okay guys I know what you are thinking right now. Hot chocolate? Is that even a fall drink? I love drinking hot chocolate in the fall just as much as I love drinking it in the winter. The peppermint flavor adds a delicious twist to your regular hot chocolate. If you are a peppermint fan, then your taste buds are going to be thanking me later after trying this yummy drink.
Ingredients:
1 envelope of Swiss Miss hot chocolate mix
2 mini candy canes
1 cup of your desired milk or water
Whipped Cream
5-10 Mini Marshmallows
Warm your milk or water until it is your desired temperature. Crush the mini candy canes using a spoon. Pour the hot chocolate mix and candy canes in your mug and then pour the warmed milk or water. Add the whipped cream and mini marshmallows.
Recipe 5:
Pumpkin Spiced Latte
Why spend money at Starbucks when you can make a delicious Pumpkin Spiced Latte at home? Check out this recipe from allrecipes.com on how to make your very own latte in your very own kitchen.
Ingredients:
3 cups of hot milk (Feel free to add any milk substitute. I like adding soy milk to mine.)
4 Teaspoons of sweetener
½ Teaspoon of vanilla extract
½ Teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice
6 ounces of brewed coffee
Whipped Cream
Add the milk, sweetener, vanilla extract, pumpkin pie spice, and coffee into a blender and blend until it is frothy. Pour into your cup and add the whipped cream.
