Hey gals, it’s been a while since I’ve posted. Life has thrown a couple of curveballs at me (let me know if you would like a life updates post) & I was stuck in a creative rut. Well ladies (& gents), we all need to work on loving ourselves. If we are happy with ourselves then we can be a better person in all aspects of our lives. If you want a healthy relationship with your significant other or if you want to attract that high quality person into your life, then you need to love yourself.
I used to be skeptical about affirmations. I had read a couple of articles & listened to a couple of podcasts of people who swore by saying their affirmations every single morning. I thought it was a bunch of bs. Why would saying out loud “I am a successful person & will attract an abundance of happiness into my life” have any affect on me? I didn’t really believe in it until I researched the psychology behind it.
Here’s the main point: what we believe becomes our reality. If you believe you aren’t confident, then you are not going to act confident. It is a self-fulfilling prophecy. However, if we start believing that we are an awesome person worthy of love. Then, we are going to start acting that way.
How do affirmations come into play? If you say your affirmation out loud & you say it with emotion, then you will begin to believe what you are saying. It helps us re-calibrate our brains to have different beliefs about ourselves. Then, we will start acting in accordance to our new beliefs.
There are many YouTube videos of affirmations. They are also on a wide variety of topics such as success, confidence, & happiness. Once you find some affirmations that really resonate with you, write them down & repeat them to yourself every single morning. Over time, you will begin to see a difference in how you view yourself & the world.
When we are going through a difficult time, positive affirmations can help us get out of that negative place. I definitely recommend trying this self-love tip.
