I like to change up my night routines depending on the season. During the winter time, I tend to stay inside & spend more time in bed after a long day of work. My Spring night routine has been focused on health: physical & mental health. I absolutely love working for my digital marketing agency, but it can get stressful at times. I also have had a lot of stress in my personal life as well. The nighttime is my time to relax & decompress after a day of work.
I get off my train around 7:30 pm every single day. I normally spend some time with my family right when I get home. I love to laugh with my sister, have a glass of wine or beer with my dad, or talk about fashion with my mom after a long day of work. It is a great way to turn off work mode & focus on recharging after a long day of work. Next, we all eat together. This is also so important. I am very close to my family & I attribute our closeness to eating dinner every single night with my family.
Depending on the day, I like to go to the gym, go for a walk, or do a workout in my room. One of my favorite workouts is the Blogilates Call Me Maybe Mighty squat challenge. My legs always feel sore the next day (in a good way!). If it is a beautiful night, going for a walk is my favorite way to get my body moving.
Next, I like to take a bath, meditate, or write. If I have a lot of time, I like to do all three. The Headspace app is a great meditation app. It’s quick 10 minute meditation & I think the voice very relaxing. While I take a bath, I like to listen to a podcast. This is another great way to escape from the stress of a long day at work. Who doesn’t like to escape into a new story or listen to inspirational tips while floating in a bath?
Finally, I start my nighttime skincare routine. There is no better feeling than taking off your makeup at the end of the day. If you would like to see my nighttime skin care routine let me know in the comments below. Once my makeup is off, I jump into bed, watch some tv or netflix, & drift off into sleep. I wake up refreshed & distressed after this spring nighttime routine.
