Where I’ve Been + Life Update

Alright, I have some explaining to do. I have put my blog on the back burner. Life got really busy & honestly that is no excuse. I was traveling to Cape Cod, Connecticut, & having fun life experiences. I was experiencing work happy hours at incredible New York City places, working on doing great at my new position at my job, & I would come home tired at the end of the day. I wouldn’t want to stare at a screen after staring at a screen from 9-6:30 every single day. As I stopped spending time on my hobbies, I started seeing a decline in happiness.

The other aspects of my life seemed great. I was spending time with my family & friends. I met a really great guy that I can now call my boyfriend. However, it felt like there was something missing in my life. I honestly wasn’t happy. Instead of coming home & thinking of new ideas for the blog, I would come home & watch hours of television.

Well, here are the aspects of life that I am determined to start working on more. I will continue to work on doing great in my career, spend time with family & friends, & continue to experience amazing life experiences. However, I also want to work on the following aspects of my life:

  1. Saving money – I want to find new ways to save money in order to be able to achieve some of my upcoming life goals. I want to move out. I want to travel around Europe. These two goals require a good amount of money saved. Maybe I can spend a night in watching movies with friends instead of buying 5 drinks at the bar. I’m looking forward to writing on the blog about my journey.
  2. Healthy eating – I really am determined to work on my eating habits. I know that I don’t eat enough vegetables, but I do nothing about it! I need to stop being so lazy & do something about it. I am starting a new 30 day challenge: no caffeine, very little alcohol (1 or 2 drinks a week – at most), & no processed sugar. I’m excited to see how my skin will look & how I am going to feel.
  3. Style – I am so done with fast fashion. Although I enjoy browsing around Forever 21, most of their clothing items fall apart in the wash after two or three washes. I am ready to start investing in some nice, high quality fashion pieces that I know are going to last for years.
  4. Spend more time on writing & photography – I love to write, and I love to take photos. I love letting the words flow out into a blog post or story. When I finish a blog post, I feel so content. It is amazing feeling. I also really enjoy taking photos. It is a great way to express myself & I really enjoy seeing how the photos turn out.

Now, it’s time for a question for you. What kind of posts would you like to see? Let me know in the comments below. I am excited to start creating again for all of you.
