10 Things You Can Do Right Now To Improve Your Life

I can’t believe another week is over. After a very fun weekend filled with a girl’s night & date night with my boyfriend, it is time to get back into the grind of the work week. (Also, whose so excited for Game of Thrones tonight?!) It’s time to get ready for the upcoming week. I’m determined to be extremely organized this week & make it one of the best weeks yet. I also have Friday off so having a good week with Friday off sounds absolutely amazing.

Here are 10 things you can do right now to improve your life & have the best week yet:

  1. Throw a load of laundry into the washer

It’s tempting to spend your Sunday’s watching television & taking a nap. (I may have spent my entire early afternoon doing this & it felt so good) Throw a load into your laundry. If all of your clothes are clean, it’ll make picking out outfits for this week so much easier.

  1. Create a feel good playlist

Although I am dreaming of having a completely stress-free week, I know there are going to be some things that come up that have me stressing out. Therefore, a feel good playlist is my go-to to automatically feel better. They are also great for workouts at the gym.

  1. Plan your workouts for the week

It is much easier to stay on track with working out if you have a set plan for the week. If you are runner, plan which days you are going to run & how many miles. Plan a walk with your best friend. If it is in your planner, you will be less likely to not want to do it.

  1. Meal prep

One of my best friends showed me a delicious recipe on Friday for this amazing risotto. She says she makes a huge batch on the weekends & portions it out to eat during the week. You are also more likely to eat healthy if you have your meals prepped.

  1. Download a new podcast or purchase a new book

I am more likely to listen to a great podcast or read during the week if I plan which podcast I am going to listen to or book I am going to read on Sunday. If you have a long commute, it also makes waking up for the commute on Monday a lot easier knowing you have a good podcast or book to read.

  1. Create a budget for the week

Plan how much you would like to spend every single day this week. I try to have “no spend” days where I eat whatever I have in my house & I don’t make any other purchases. You will be happy at the end of the week knowing you decided to save some money this week.

  1. Schedule your tweets & blog posts

If you are a blogger, scheduling your social media posts & blog posts on Sunday will make the week go by much smoother. There are some busy days when I don’t have the time to post on my Twitter. (twitter.com/lifestylesteph) If I had scheduled my tweets on Sunday, I would be able to have new content out on Twitter every single day.

  1. Spend some time in the sun

If the sun is shining where you currently are sitting & you can get outside, get outside. Vitamin D has been proven to help our moods so why not catch some rays & feel happier? Don’t forget to put on sunscreen though to prevent skin cancer & aging!

  1. Do something for YOU

You deserve to do something for you! My recommendation: have a piece of dark chocolate. So yum! Or take a bubble bath. Your mental health is so important.

  1. Spend an hour (or more) without your phone

I feel so refreshed if I spend some time not on my phone. One of my favorite things about spending times with my family, friends or boyfriend is when I am completely present with them & not looking at my phone. It feels so good! Or spend time alone without looking at your phone. Read a book or go for a walk & look at the beautiful nature around us.

Podcasts and books for the commute are a life changer. I\’ve never tried meal-prepping risotto but I am definitely going to look into it for next week!
