Daily Self Care Habits For A Happier Life

Self care is so important and can often be neglected during a stressful or busy time. Here are 10 daily habits to ensure you’re taking care of yourself. Print them out. Take a screenshot. Reference it and try these daily self care habits for a happier life.

Self Care Habit #1: Do something you enjoy in the morning before you start work

Try to wake up at least 10 minutes earlier than normal to start the day with doing something you love. It can be exercising, enjoying a cup of coffee alone, listening to a podcast, having quiet time, reading, getting outside etc.

Self Care Habit #2: Get ready each day

It doesn’t have to be full on glam, but even just putting on a new pair of sweats or a piece of jewelry can make you feel better.

Self Care Habit #3: Write a to-do list with personal and work to-do’s

Writing a list of to-do’s will make you more likely to be productive during the day.

Self Care Habit #4: Figure out your ideal eating schedule and stick to this schedule.

Make sure you take the time to fuel your body in a way that makes you feel your best.

Self Care Habit #5: Take breaks throughout the day while completing you work

It is important to take breaks throughout the day so your mind can rest and you avoid burnout.

Self Care Habit #6: Have something to look forward to at the end of the day

Make sure you do something that sparks joy at the end of the day. For me, it is a yummy beverage, but it can be watching a YouTube video, your favorite show or scrolling through your favorite app.

Self Care Habit #7: Interact with other humans in person or on the phone (have non-digital interactions)

Having frequent human interaction is key to our well being.

Self Care Habit #8: Listen to your body’s needs (nap if you need too, have a snack if you’re hungry)

Don’t neglect your body.

Self Care Habit #9: Get outside if possible

Make sure you leave your home. Feel the sunshine. Getting outside can have a positive impact on your mood.

Self Care Habit #10: If you feel like something is on your mind, journal it out

Getting your thoughts on paper can make your mind feel less cluttered. There are great journal prompts out there, if you need inspiration on what to write.
